The tasks are next to impossible without paying lots of $$$$. I have no problem paying for a game if it's worth it.

I spent well over $100 in the first week of the end, I was glad it was over. I actually REALLY tried this game (against my better judgement) only because I loved the first two versions so much. I was more than willing to pay a one-time purchase, the other two were definitely worth it. I would've never even downloaded this version if I had known that. I'm so disappointed that this version requires ongoing payments to purchase 'gems'. I loved the first two versions of the 'island castaway' series. Not by hooking people, making them invest in a game to go a little further and then requiring them to continue to invest to keep playing. Developers need to make money - but they should do it honestly and upfront. I wouldn't pay $99 for any video game but these games know how to hook people and take their cash. The first warning should be any video game that has a store option for $99 real currency to get in game currency. I don't mind games that you can complete without using the fake currency or that take longer to complete without the fake currency - but any video game that essentially requires you to use the fake currency to progress is a scam. You can win a limited number of emeralds - but it would be such a tedious process to do so and advance much of anywhere in the game that no one would ever play. They give you 5 minutes to complete a task that has to 'cook' for 5 minutes making it impossible to complete without paying emeralds to speed up the process. I'm only on chapter 2 and have reached a challenge that costs 5 emeralds to complete.

I would spend $5 to play a game like this but it is clear that one would need to pay a lot more to complete the tasks in this game.
